For the Fall 2012-13 term, I have registered for LIBS1610 (CRN 57713) - Library Services to Business and Industry - a long-distance online course offered by Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador (MUN).
Format: World Wide Web
focuses on the provision of library services to business and industry, with emphasis on specific strategies for providing information to business and industry users, the role of in-house information services and libraries, and the interaction between the library, management, and administration in business and industry settings.
That will complete the 10 courses required to obtain my Certificate in Library Studies.
I would still take LIBS1611 - Multimedia Operations in the Library Setting - sometime if MUN offers it.
I am really glad that Lorraine Busby, MUN Librarian, is looking after this Certificate program now. She is a very nice person and has many years of experience in both Corporate and Academic libraries.
Below is a link to her interesting bio that was posted on MUN website when she joined MUN as university librarian in 2007.
